Vinedos Ruiz Jimenez, Rioja Blanco 2022
Not enough people know about white Rioja. Made with white tempranillo grape, it is vastly overshadowed by its red sibling, but this wine explains why it deserves greater recognition. Aromas of white peaches and pears, and a mouth which manages to combine freshness and sweetness - this is excellent both as an aperitif, or at the end of a meal with a plate of fresh goats cheese.
